1Four accounts, four balances
Dukaan POS keeps Cash, Bank, JazzCash and Easypaisa as separate accounts. A cash sale raises Cash; a payment received on Easypaisa raises Easypaisa; an electricity bill paid from the bank reduces Bank. The balances on the Money screen always reflect everything recorded, so you can see at a glance where your money actually sits.
Where one day's money is
Example closing balances across the four accounts
2A history behind every balance
Open any account and you can read its movements in order: sales, payments received from customers, payments to suppliers, expenses and transfers, each with date and amount. If the Bank balance looks odd, the history shows the entry that moved it, which is much faster than rereading a notebook.
Without a system
- One notebook mixing cash, bank and wallets
- Deposits that never get written down
- Shortages found weeks later
With Dukaan POS
- Separate balances, each with its own history
- Transfers move money between accounts
- A nightly count that records Short, Over or Matches
3Moving money between accounts
Real shops move money: depositing cash at the bank, withdrawing from a wallet to the drawer. Record that as a transfer from one account to another and both balances change together, so nothing appears or vanishes by accident. Without the transfer entry, balances drift away from reality.

Record each payment as it comes; the balance updates every time.
4The nightly cash count
At closing, count the drawer and enter the amount. The app compares it with the Cash balance and records the result as Matches, Short or Over, with the amount, who counted and when. A Rs 300 shortage on one day is a note; the same shortage every day is a pattern you can now see.
5Receiving and paying through the book
Money collected from customers and paid to suppliers goes through these same accounts. When you receive a customer's Rs 5,000 payment, you choose how it came in; when you pay a distributor, you choose where it came from. Every rupee therefore has a source and a destination.
6A typical day in the book
Imagine a day: Rs 62,000 of cash sales, Rs 18,500 received on Easypaisa, Rs 15,000 paid to a distributor from the bank, Rs 3,200 of expenses from the drawer and Rs 20,000 deposited at the bank. Each of those lands in the right account as you record it. At night the Cash balance is the opening cash plus sales, minus expenses and the deposit. If the drawer holds less than that, the difference is recorded openly, not discovered weeks later.
