1Receiving a payment from a customer
Open Receive Payment, pick the customer, enter the amount and choose where it came in: Cash, Bank, JazzCash or Easypaisa. Add a note if you like, such as the cheque number or who handed it over. The app confirms with the new balance, for example "Rs 5,000 received from Imran. Still owes Rs 7,200."

2Paying a supplier
Paying a distributor works the same way in the other direction. Choose the supplier, enter the amount and pick the account it left from. The supplier's balance goes down by that amount and the account balance goes down with it, so the books match what you actually did.
Without a system
- Part payments written on scraps
- No record of which account got the money
- Dues known only by memory
With Dukaan POS
- Each payment saved with account and note
- Dues lists for customers and suppliers
- Balances updated instantly
3Two lists that matter
The customer dues report lists everyone who owes you, with their phone number, balance and due date. The supplier dues report lists everyone you owe. On the home screen, Money to Receive and Money to Pay show the totals, and tapping them opens the lists. Both can be downloaded as PDF or CSV for a conversation with a partner or an accountant.

Record each payment as it comes; the balance updates every time.
4Due dates and follow-up
If a customer promises to pay by a date, you can store it. That date appears next to their name in the dues list, so a Saturday morning review shows who is overdue. The same is true of suppliers' pay-by dates entered on purchases, which helps you pay on time and keep good terms.
5No duplicate payments
If the connection drops while you save and you tap the button again, the app does not record the payment twice. Each save carries a unique key, so a repeat is recognised and ignored. That detail matters most at busy times, when a double entry would otherwise slip by unnoticed.
6Keeping good relations
Payment tracking is also about people. A customer who is told the exact balance and the date of their last payment rarely argues, and a supplier who is paid on the date you promised will be more flexible next time. Having the number ready, instead of searching a notebook while the customer waits, makes the conversation short and friendly. Owners who review dues each week usually collect faster simply because they remember to ask.
