1What happens in a single sale
A sale in Dukaan POS follows the order a cashier thinks in. Choose Retail (or Wholesale), search or tap a product, set the quantity, and repeat. The total updates as you go. Open the payment sheet, pick Walk-in customer or a named customer, enter any discount, and take the payment. If the customer hands over Rs 2,000 for a Rs 1,850 bill, the app shows the change.
The moment you save, the invoice number is created, stock is reduced, cash or the chosen wallet is increased and, if part of the bill is unpaid, the customer's balance goes up. Nothing has to be copied across.

2Payment options at the counter
Customers pay in different ways and a retail till should not make that awkward. You can record a sale as paid in cash, by bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa, or split across more than one. A named customer can take goods on credit with a due date, or pay part now and the rest later. Walk-in customers must pay in full, which stops unrecorded credit going to strangers.
Without a system
- Prices remembered or looked up
- Change calculated in a hurry
- No record of what sold
With Dukaan POS
- Search or tap an item
- Change shown on screen
- Every sale saved and reported
3Discounts without losing track of profit
A discount can be entered as a percentage or a fixed amount on the whole bill. The profit report uses the discounted total, so you can see what discounts really cost. Cashiers can only give discounts if the owner has allowed it in settings, which is useful when you trust one person to bargain but not another.
🧮 Profit and margin calculator
Margin is profit as a share of the selling price. Markup is profit as a share of cost.
4Returns and corrections
Customers bring things back. A return is recorded against the original sale, the goods go back into stock, and the money or credit is adjusted. Corrections are recorded as new entries rather than erasing the old ones, so the history stays honest, which matters on the day someone asks why a figure changed.
5Receipts you can share
After a sale you can view the bill, share it, or download it as a PDF. Sending a bill by WhatsApp takes a tap, which many customers prefer to carrying paper. A saved invoice can be reopened later from the sales list.

?Questions about retail POS software
What is retail POS software?
It is the system a shop uses at the counter to make sales, take payments and print or share bills, while keeping stock and money records up to date automatically.
Do I need a special machine?
No. Dukaan POS runs in a normal browser, so a phone you already own is enough to start.
Can customers pay by JazzCash or Easypaisa?
Yes. You record how each sale was paid, and each wallet has its own balance in the app.
Can a cashier give discounts?
Only if the owner switches that permission on. By default cashiers cannot.
Can I sell on credit to walk-in customers?
No. Credit needs a named customer. This is deliberate so unpaid sales are always tied to someone you can follow up.
