1Mixed baskets, quick bills
A gift sale is usually several unrelated items: a mug, a card, a soft toy, wrapping. Search each by name, adjust quantities and bill. You can add a bill discount when a customer buys a bundle, for instance Rs 200 off a basket worth Rs 3,800, and the receipt shows the final amount.

2Stock that arrives in waves
Buying for Eid or Valentine's often means one big delivery. Record it as a purchase with the supplier's bill number and the part payment you made. The app adds stock, updates your cost and keeps the supplier balance, so after the season you know exactly what the stock cost and what is left.
Without a system
- Seasonal stock guessed
- Leftovers forgotten
- Discounts unrecorded
With Dukaan POS
- Last year's sales to plan from
- Stock valuation shows leftovers
- Discounts on the bill
3Seeing what actually sold
After each season, open product sales for those dates. The ranking shows which items carried the shop and which did not move, with profit beside each for the owner. That tells you what to reorder next year and what to skip, and replaces guesses with figures.
🧮 What does a discount cost me?
A discount comes straight out of profit, so it must be won back in extra sales.
4Dead stock and markdowns
Items left after the season tie up money. The stock valuation report shows what they cost; you can then decide on a markdown, a bundle or a return to the supplier. Damaged pieces are written off, so the loss appears in the profit report.
5Staff in the busy week
Hire extra helpers for the festival week and give them cashier accounts. They bill and take payment but cannot see your costs, and discounts are available to them only if you allow it. After the rush, switch their accounts off.
6Pricing for occasions
Gift prices often rise around events and fall afterwards. Update the selling price on a product when the season changes and the next bill uses it. Because each purchase carries its own cost, the profit report shows how a price rise before Eid changed your margin, which makes next year's pricing a decision based on evidence rather than habit.
7Wrapping and small extras
Many gift shops earn extra from wrapping, ribbons and greeting cards. Add them as ordinary products with small prices so they appear on the bill and in the reports. Seeing what these extras earn over a season sometimes surprises owners, and it shows whether it is worth promoting them at the counter.
