Made-to-order furniture, workshop production and delivery planning are not supported. Colours, sizes and finishes are separate products. Dukaan POS fits a showroom that sells ready pieces and needs careful records of advances, balances and supplier credit.
1Pieces and prices
Each piece is a product with a name, a cost and a price. Group by category: beds, sofas, dining, wardrobes. Because pieces are few and valuable, a stock count is quick, and every sale takes one piece from the count.

2Advances and balances
Customers often pay an advance and the rest on delivery. Record the sale with the advance, keep the balance on their page and take the final payment when it arrives. The page shows the full story if a question arises weeks later.
A good fit
- Ready showroom pieces
- Advances and balances
- Negotiated discounts
Not a fit
- Made-to-order work
- Delivery scheduling
- Workshop production
3Negotiation
Furniture prices are negotiated. Use a bill discount to settle the final price, allowed only for the owner or manager. The profit report uses the price actually charged, so you can see what negotiation costs over a month.
🧮 What does a discount cost me?
A discount comes straight out of profit, so it must be won back in extra sales.
4Slow and costly stock
A sofa set can cost half a million and take months to sell. Stock valuation shows how much money sits in the showroom, and product sales shows which categories move. That helps you decide what to reorder and what to mark down.
5Supplier and workshop accounts
Pieces come from factories and workshops, often on credit. Record each delivery with the bill number and your payment, and keep the pay-by date visible.
6What stays on paper
Delivery dates and custom specifications are not stored in Dukaan POS. Many furniture owners keep a delivery register and use the app for sales, stock and balances. The trial will show whether that split suits you.
7A worked example
A customer buys a bed set at Rs 185,000 after agreeing Rs 5,000 off, so the bill is Rs 180,000. She pays Rs 60,000 now, Rs 60,000 on delivery and the rest the next month. Her page lists each payment and the remaining Rs 60,000. If she calls to check, you read the record in seconds.
8Tracking showroom stock
Because pieces are few and costly, count the showroom monthly and adjust any difference with a note. Stock valuation then shows exactly how much money is in each category, and product sales shows which ones sold. That helps you decide where the next purchase should go.
9What to test in the free trial
Add six pieces from your showroom with costs and prices, bill one with an advance and a discount, and look at the customer's page. Then decide whether keeping delivery dates and custom specifications on paper is acceptable. If so, the app gives you a clean record of sales, advances and stock value.
10Choosing what to restock
Read product sales for the last six months by category. Restock the categories that moved, keep slow ones to a single display piece and avoid buying costly pieces without a customer in mind. Stock valuation checks that your showroom money is where your sales are.
