1Sizes as separate products
Create a product for each size and type: "Bedsheet double", "Bedsheet single", "Quilt king", "Pillow standard". It keeps counts exact and prices clear. Categories such as Sheets, Quilts, Pillows and Mattresses make the list easy to scan.

2Winter and wedding peaks
Quilts and blankets sell mostly in a few cold months; wedding sets cluster in other seasons. Raise minimums early for the lines you know sell out, and use product sales from last year to decide how much to buy. After the season, stock valuation shows what is left to clear.
Without a system
- Winter stock guessed
- Advances on scraps
- Sizes confused
With Dukaan POS
- Last year's sales to plan from
- Advance and balance recorded
- A product per size
3Bulk orders and advances
A family preparing for a wedding may order sets of sheets, pillows and quilts and pay in stages. Bill the order, record the advance and keep the balance on their customer page. The page shows the full list of items and each payment when they return.

Record each payment as it comes; the balance updates every time.
4Discounts on sets
Selling several items together often involves a discount. Apply it on the bill so the receipt shows the final price. Profit reports use what was charged, so you can measure whether your set discounts still leave a worthwhile margin.
5Wholesale buyers
If you also supply smaller shops, keep a wholesale price on each product and bill them as wholesale customers with a khata. Their dues are visible in the weekly report.
6Choosing suppliers and quality
Bedding quality varies widely, and returns hurt margins. Record the supplier on every purchase and note returns against the product. If one supplier's sheets come back more often, the records show it. You can then switch supplier or negotiate better terms, and keep the lines customers remember as reliable.
7Space and storage
Quilts and mattresses take space. Stock valuation and product sales together tell you whether bulky items earn enough for the room they use. Keep only the best sellers in volume, order slow items on demand and use the freed space for the lines that move, which improves both cash and shop layout.
8Getting set up
Create products for each type and size, enter costs and prices, and count your opening stock. Set minimums for the lines that sell all year, such as sheets and pillows, and raise them before winter for quilts and blankets. Open accounts for customers who buy sets on instalments. After a few weeks the reports show which sizes sell best.
