1What you can have in Urdu
Dukaan POS has an Urdu option under More, then Language. The most-used labels switch to Urdu, such as Home, Sell, Stock, Money, New Sale, Today sales, money to receive and pay, and the main buttons. Switching also changes the reading direction to right to left.

2Product and customer names in Urdu
Each product can have an English and an Urdu name. Cashiers can search either, so a customer who asks for a product in Urdu finds the same item. Customer names can be typed in Urdu as well, and bills show names as you entered them.
In Urdu today
- Main labels and buttons
- Product and customer names
- The website at /ur
Still in English
- Many detailed screens
- Report titles
- PDF and CSV headings
3What stays in English
Only the most-used labels have Urdu text today. Many detailed screens, report titles and messages still show in English. Reports downloaded as PDF or CSV use the English titles. If you need everything in Urdu, this is not yet that.
🧮 Profit and margin calculator
Margin is profit as a share of the selling price. Markup is profit as a share of cost.
4An Urdu website too
The Dukaan POS website has an Urdu version, which explains the product, the free trial and the pricing. Visit the Urdu page to read it, then sign up and switch the app's language in More.
5Setting up a team that prefers Urdu
Set the language on each device, add products with Urdu names while you set up, and teach staff the main screens: Sell, Stock, Money. Because the key labels are translated, most counter work becomes simple. Keep a short list of English terms for reports, written in Urdu beside them, until they become familiar.
6Why we say this plainly
Software that claims to cover every screen in Urdu when it does not creates frustration at the counter. We would rather tell you the real position and let you test it during the seven-day trial with your own staff. If Urdu matters most, try it before anything else.
7A short checklist for Urdu-speaking teams
- Switch each device to Urdu in More, then Language.
- Add the Urdu name when you create each product.
- Type customer names in Urdu so lists look familiar.
- Write the English report names beside their Urdu meaning on a card at the counter.
- Review after a week and note which screens staff still find confusing; tell us, because it helps decide what to translate next.
This small preparation makes the first week smooth and shows whether the current Urdu coverage is enough for your shop.
8Who should wait
If every cashier reads only Urdu and every screen must be in Urdu, the current coverage may be too thin for you. In that case, try the free trial for a day and see how far the main screens carry your team before deciding.
