1What online means in practice
You open the website, sign in with your username and password and start working. Nothing is installed. When you save a sale it goes to your shop's account online, and the stock, cash and customer balances update there. If you sign in on another phone, you see exactly the same figures.
One shop, many screens
2One shop, several devices
An owner can watch the day from home while a cashier sells at the shop, because both are looking at the same records. Each person signs in with their own login and role, so the cashier sees the till and the owner also sees profit. There is no sync step to remember; there is only one record.
Without a system
- Data on one computer
- A crash loses everything
- Reports only at the shop
With Dukaan POS
- Data saved online
- Sign in again on any device
- Reports from anywhere
3What happens when the internet is weak
Saving a sale needs a connection. The app tells you when it is offline and pauses saving rather than storing sales that might be lost. The product list you have already loaded stays visible so you can still check prices and stock. When the connection returns, you continue. If your location has frequent long outages, test the trial for a week at your counter before deciding, and keep a notebook as a backup during outages.
🧮 Customer balance calculator
Record each payment as it comes; the balance updates every time.
4Your records, kept apart from other shops
Every shop's records are kept separate. Only the logins you create can see your products, sales and customers, and we check this separation with automated tests. We also back up the system every night. You can download your reports as PDF or CSV at any time, so your information is never trapped in the app.
5No upgrades to install
When we improve the app, you receive the update the next time you open it. There are no installers, no version numbers to track and no computer to keep running at the shop.
6Tips for working with a weak connection
If your signal is uneven, a few habits help. Put the counter device where the signal is strongest, keep a backup connection such as a second phone hotspot, and let the page finish loading before you start a sale. If the app tells you it cannot save, wait for it to reconnect before you hand over the goods and write the sale down in a notebook meanwhile, then enter it once the connection is back.
